Mat 1 + 2
TECHNIQUE AND EXERCISES
Welcome to your first technical training! Mat work is the foundation of this movement practice and the best way to learn the movement intentions for all the work ahead. Movement patterns and exercises you see in Mat, will repeat themselves in the equipment modules to come.

REFORMER 1 + 2
Welcome to the Reformer! After going through Mat, see if you can notice some of the similarities between Reformer 1 and Mat 1, and take a mental note of how the tension of the springs and the moving carriage can impact the same movement patterns. Do they help? Or do they make the same movements feel more challenging? Does it depend on the exercise?
CHAIR 1 + 2
Hello, Chair. Nice to meet you. Being the smallest piece of equipment out of all the Pilates machines, this one, packs a punch. After having gone through the Reformer work, youβll see that many exercises you already know (like, Footwork) can be done on the Chair too, but from a different perspective (ie., seated vs. supine). Start mentally taking notes of why you would pick to do something on the Chair vs. the Reformer and why. You know we like to keep you thinking, critically.
Barrels
TECHNIQUE AND EXERCISES
Barrel x3. In this lesson, we show you three types of barrels, and demo the work on two of them. The ladder barrel is not always easily accessible at a studio, but the small arcs and the spine corrector are fairly easy to get and add to Mat, Reformer, and even Chair work.
