Like any online learning experience, our online courses are for you if are able and willing to:

Although we made sure that the program is easy to follow, you need to be comfortable with learning through a virtual format, including watching videos, as well as accessing and downloading PDFs.

Make time for practice hours

Like any teaching program, you have to make time for practice teaching to get the most out of it.

Take ownership over your training

If you want a career as a teacher or studio owner, you have to take ownership over the teacher training process. This means creating a schedule and an environment for yourself as a student, where you can focus on the course to get the most out of it.

A Little More About Me

Before I started teaching Pilates, I was caught up in the hustle of a demanding job at the State Capitol, relying heavily on caffeine to get through long hours. I also felt a huge weight and a shift in many aspects of my personal life — pulling me in a whole new direction. As a generally driven and focused person, I felt lost.

In this chaos, the highlight of my day was always my 6am Pilates class — a moment just for me, where I found clarity.

This routine not only offered me a reprieve and sparked an interest in Pilates, but led me to appreciate how incredibly important it is to connect to yourself through movement. So, I began thinking about signing up for a teacher training course.

I had idea where it would lead, or how I would make it happen with my busy schedule.

But I knew one thing. I NEEDED to make a change because I knew there was something bigger and more important waiting for me — and spending my waking hours doing work that left me unfulfilled was not it.

So I took the leap and signed up for my first teacher training course.

Running my dream studio, owning the building that shelters this space, training new teachers all over the world, and having time and the freedom to do things I enjoy in my personal and professional life.

  • We’ve graduated students who’ve become teachers with years AND only months of experience.

    Bottom line: it’s all about how much you put into the course, how much time you dedicate to the work, and how committed you are. You can’t fast track the time, but you can dedicate time to practicing what you’re learning in this course.

  • Yes! You will have free access (for 12 months) to live trainings and workshops with Maria. You will also get a recording of those sessions for 12 months.

  • We take our teacher training certification seriously. A Humani ™️ Teacher Training Pilates Mat + Foundations and/or Reformer Certificate after your completion of the program and a successful test out. You will have to meet all program requirements, including submitting a practice training log documenting your practice hours and a video showcasing your teaching. After your completion of these requirements, you will schedule a LIVE final exam.

    This program is also on the list of approved schools for the National Pilates Certification Program (NCPT). This means that by successfully completing the Humani™️ Mat & Foundations Program and all our program requirements (including getting our certificate), you also be able to sit in for the NCPT exam and test for the National Pilates Mat Certificate (NPCP-PMC).

  • Nope. You just have to take the final exam if you’d like to receive a Certificate of Completion from our program.

  • We’ve had students successfully land jobs at big corporate gyms, small private studios all over the country. Most studios and gyms will ask you for a certification as well as an audition interview. Your ability to successfully teach a Mat and/or Reformer class will be the most important part of you landing your dream job.

  • You have 12-months from the date of your course purchase to successfully complete your exam to receive your certification.

  • You have 12-month access to the course, which means if you don't have time to start right away, that's totally fine, as long as you get to it in the next 12 months! After 12 months is up, you can re-enroll in our community membership for $99/month to continue to have access.

  • I cannot give you an exact estimate because it will depend on your schedule, speed, and a variety of other factors, including, how often you practice teaching. If you get down to business, this course will take you 2 months to complete. If you invest in this project on the weekly basis, you can start teaching friends and family right away, and then others roughly 4 months in.

  • After helping hundreds of students go from student to teacher, start their own businesses or work at corporate and boutique studios alike, we are confident that the education that we are offering is solid and valuable if you DO THE WORK. For this reason, we do not offer refunds.
